Hi, I tried to set up the landing page of my site to not lazy load the top image. I added an id to the image and put that id under the exclusion section of Smush. It is still lazy loading that image so I am not sure if I set it up incorrectly.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @meggranit,

I suppose you are referring to the “Homepage_assets-01-2.png” image and the ID added is “landing-img“, right?

Smush by default will only lazyload images which are loaded below the fold and once the page starts to scroll.

So the images loaded when you initially load the page won’t be lazyloaded. Lazyload, in general, will only work once the page is scrolled and for the images loaded below the initial screen display.

The current way how the image is loaded seems to be a default behaviour. Could you please make sure to temporarily disable the Lazy load in Smush and see whether you notice any difference?

It seems more like that’s how the image loads by default too. Please do let us know how that goes so that we could give a closer look.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

    Hello @meggranit ,

We haven’t heard from you for over 3 weeks now, so it seems that you don’t have more questions for us.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
