the latest update I just got notice of and installed this morning does not work I am getting encounter error and a few different recovery type buttons that seem to do nothing .
I had to deactivate to get things going again worked fine secons before I updated I just finished posting .

Same Problem with my update just a few minuted ago. Now Gutenberg is not responding, and won’t load. I can’t edit my posts.

Same here. Updated to latest version just a few minutes ago. Encountered the exact same problems you’re having. Hope a fix is released asap.

Same here. Updated to latest version just a few minutes ago.

Quick solution: disable Gutenberg

After that I was able to continue working with the normal editor. Would be nice if a hotfix would be recorded soon.

Same problem here. Pre 3.7.0 pages won’t load and new 3.7.0 won’t load either after successfully creating and saving them. All I get after trying to open a post is the word “Success” partially obscured by the WP side-menu …

Rolling back to the previous version (3.6.2) also works. See here: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/download-older-versions-of-wordpress-plugins/#

I couldn’t see any content created with 3.7.0. (It wouldn’t reload in 3.7.0 in any event.)

Rollback to previous version worked for me. I’m now using this plugin for that, it works well: WP Rollback

Are you also using the Yoast SEO plugin?

There is a known issue with the latest version of Gutenberg and Yoast SEO that can cause this problem. Essentially, it is a minor mistake which can result in rather annoying consequences.

Yoast plans to have a fix out by Monday. You can find more information about this issue here:

In the meantime, they have a minor plugin fix there which can alleviate the issue, or you can revert to Gutenberg 3.6.2, which will also solve the problem until the Yoast plugin can be updated.
