Jpeg Image upload problem: security reasons

    Hello,

    Since a couple of weeks I cannot upload my usual png/jpeg images anymore in WordPress, this was perfectly possible a month ago.
    If I upload jpeg/png files (150kb), I always get the error ‘this file type is not allowed due to security reasons.’ If I change the image to .jpg extension and try again, then it works fine. However this is costing me too much time, so I want to understand why WordPress isn’t accepting those jpeg or png files I extract from Photoshop.

    Anyone an idea?
