Is there any way that javascript will work on a static page authored in WP 1.5?

Works for me. I have some JavaScript on this page.

Unwanted formatting of the code is achieved by putting the code in an external file and linking:

<script type="text/javascript" src="yourscript.js"></script>

It works! Take note on the javascript file’s path.
If you install WP in http://YourDomain.com/blog/ and javascript file in the same directory, the path should be “/blog/yourscript.js”.
