Website is http://www.yourpanamatours.com. Using WP 4.2.4. Theme is Akita 2.1.9.1
I had set up iThemes security and BUB and have been using both plug ins without issues until recently. As part of the security I added a word at the end of the wp login to replace wp-admin and have done this for quite a while now. Recently I was unable to log into the dashboard using my security word. I called Hostgator, then disabled all plug ins. I was able to re-enable all plug ins except for iThemes Security. Whenever I tried reactivate iThemes Security, I would be unable to log into the wordpress dashboard at all. At the moment I am unable to back up using Hostgator either. I receive the following message when trying to back up using Hostgator:

  • If it exists delete the away_mode.confg file in the wp-content/uploads/ithemes-security folder. When the Away Mode feature is active it will redirect you to the home page during away mode hours. Not sure whether this actually applies for your env.
Wasn’t able to filter this info from your problem description.
    Check it anyway.

Talk to Hostgator about the backup issue. That issue has probably nothing to do with the iTSec plugin.

    Dwinden,
Thank you so much for your help, I deleted the away_mode.config file and that did the trick. I appreciate it so much.
