Issues With Site Load Time
-
For about the last month my site (http://nerdspeak.co/) has been running oddly slow. I say oddly slow, because it seems to be fickle. Sometimes the site loads in around a second, and others it takes several seconds to load. From my very non-scientific research, it seems that the site seems to load a lot slower when the users browser is building the cache on their first visit. However, every time after that the load time is pretty reasonable.
I’ve noticed this most often after I’ve cleared the cache (in W3 Total Cache) after making some changes to plugins or whatnot.
So here is a test of the site right after I cleared all of the caches from W3TC: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cv1PJ9/nerdspeak.co
28 seconds is absolutely insane!
But here is the very next test after the testing site was able to build a cache of my site: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/YE5rF/nerdspeak.co
Now I don’t know much about coding and web design, but I know there is something fishy going on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
