Issues with RSS

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for reading. I’m having issues with my site’s RSS feed. It doesn’t seem to update after a post is made… generally it will be a few hours after the post has been made.

    I’m using feedburner and the “feedburner feedsmith extend” plugin… When I go to my feedburner RSS address, the most recent post shows up immediately. Just not showing up quick in RSS readers (I’ve tried a couple… And all other sites feeds show up almost instantly).

    The site is http://vikingsterritory.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I can;t see any problem with your feed. Feedburner will only pull the new feed every few hours at the most. To do otherwise could create a serious site performance issue comparable to a DoS attack

    Hmm… I dunno. When I actually visit the Feedburner RSS address, everything is up to date to the second. Unfortunately, on RSS readers, it never updates on time. Sometimes it will go 5-6 hours and then update like 3 posts at once to the RSS reader.

    Other RSS feeds I’m subscribed to seem to update instantaneously… How can I make that happen?
