I’ve tested the bulk resizing feature on a few images as I want to reduce the size of very large images on my blog. After I resized a few, I checked my media library and it did resize them correctly. However, when I went to the blog post I use them in, the image sizes were not the same as shown on the right hand side of the screen. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t the sizes there be the same as in the media library?

Yes, they ought to be the same (or smaller, like a medium or large version). If they aren’t, it’s likely that something has cached the images and needs to be cleared.
For example, if you use Cloudflare, Stackpath, or Sucuri, they will store a copy of your images, and those won’t be re-fetched normally unless you clear their cache. Also, some web-hosts have similar caching in place for images, JS, and CSS files, which would also need to be cleared.
