Issue on import xml

Hi all,

I have an issue about import xml to my site.
My host has set-up the limit to upload file is 7MB.
But my xml data file size is 24MB.
So I try to extend it like it say in here:

I tried to edit wp-config.php, .httaccess, and the last is edit php.ini file on my host.
I’ve succeed to extend the limit and pass to step=1.
But when I’m going to step=2 (submit to assign the authors) I got error message:

The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress&step=2&id=5

Zero Sized Reply

Squid did not receive any data for this request.

Anyone can help me please?
