Is this optimized for speed?

    We have spent lot of time playing with different chat plug-ins unsuccessfully and finally removed them because of the page speed issues.. Our score on GTMetrix and Google Page Speed have drastically reduced and its adding about 2MB weight to the page.

    Have you guys tested the speed before and after? How about the size this plug-in adds?

    We’ve tested the plugin on our demo hosting with a demo site.

    Widget adds less than 200KB to the page. In our environment regular page has a size of ~1.2MB. Page with enabled plugin has a size of ~1.3MB.

    In both cases we have high (90+) PageSpeed Insights score. Google’s service had a couple of complaints about server side caching and stuff unrelated to the plugin, but keep in mind that we used unmodified environment without any fine-tuning.
