Is there a plugin?

Hello,

I am looking preferably for two plugins to do the following:

1) To add a simple image to the heading of each post to replace the standard text date. Similar to here

2) To have the latest post featured at the top of the blog with a small summary perhaps in a different colour scheme so it stands out to readers as an update has been made. Similar to here
