    This is a somewhat common request, but I struggle to see how this would even be possible.

    Are you asking for a mode in which you could upload say 100 images, and if they have the same filename as existing images, they would be replaced in WordPress?

    If so, this begs a question:

    – What would happen with images that are not found? I.e. if you upload a file named “image456.png” and there is no such file already.
