Which event did you pick? “A new user activates their account” or “The user invites someone else to join the site”?
I implemented both. “The user invites someone else to join the site” works fine. As soon as I send the invite via the invite anyone plugin, I got the pop up achievement message. ( And this is where my other post question came in to play with regards to only receiving one achievement despite multiple invites.)
Where I then had the issue is with the “a new user activates their account.” Once I received the invite at a second gmail account, I clicked on it and activated it. When I logged out and logged back in as the original user (who sent the invite), I did not receive the achievement.

‘A new user activates their account’ should give the achievement to the user who has just activated their account, not the user that sent them the invite.
Ok. I didn’t realize that. Intuitively, I would have expected the originator of the invite to receive the achievement. In my world of thought in using the plugin as a dropbox like award system for new user signup, this would encourage the originator to submit valid emails for invites.
Having said that, the invitee in my case did not receive the achievement either. Any thoughts on why that might be?
I’ll test it out as soon as I get a chance to see if it’s working – probably won’t get around to doing this for about two weeks.
