    Hi.
    I’m using the theme Wuhan 0.3 slightly moderated.
    I validated my code with w3.org, my css workes fine.

    it looks good in Firefox and Safari, but sucks in Internet Explorer.

    I checked out the whole forum, no solution found.

    Now even WordPress Default 1.6 doesn’t work with IE.

    thanks for your help.

  • I know. Did you ever look at this very forum in IE and a ‘real browser’? The ‘sidebar’ drops sometimes, the “resolved” dropdown disappears or not, the gravatar is half behind a grey beam in the profile page, etc.
    I’ve got issues with IE too, mostly too large gaps between the title and the content of certain widgets.
    I stopped worrying, I just hope that visitors “browse happy“.

    Ahoj.
    Not to be misunderstood:
    I don’t mean looking bad in IE, I mean, there’s no design visible at all only naked Data from my Database.
    And this is the cause with validated CSS.

    There was no topic on this in the Docs or elsewhere – and even if you roll your eyes on this old story (hello moderation?) please point me to a solution somewhere out there?

    Thanks!

    Luise

    IE looks for this stylesheet:
    http://www.ueberlebenimumbruch.de/wordpress/wp-content/themes/wuhan/style-ie.css
    But it isn’t there.
    The style.css IS.

    @gangleri
    Thank you – I realized it in the meantime. didn’t guess it was missing with the download.

    It’s actually pretty simple. Make a copy of style.css, then change it to style-ie.css and put it in the same folder as style.css.

    It worked for me anyway, hope it works for you.

    @advanceddoctors
    i just cut out the browser hack and the problem was gone 🙂
    seems that newer IEs are happier with the regular CSS.
