• I manually upgraded today, and some features appear (admin bar), but the Internal Linking feature does NOT appear.

  • Have you tried:

    – working through the solutions suggested in Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I de-activated all plugins and manually upgraded.

The only thing that brings one of the missing options (change format of post) is to change template back to the default.

BUT Internal Linking does not want to appear with a vanilla based install.

    Thank you.

Do you have the TinyMCE plugin installed? It was causing this issue for me.

Yes and I turned it off, but still internal linking does not appear. Thanks.

I performed a completely new (not upgrade) install of 3.1 on my dev server and the internal linking feature does not appear. Bad distribution?
