Intermittent 503 error

Site is giving intermittent 503 error
I have tried disabling plugins but this didn’t solve the problem. I’ve also tried repairing the wp database but it seems that it still did not work.

Check with your host to see if the server is overloaded.
The thing is.. if I try connecting via VPN it will never load and gives the error every time
It could be your host is blocking that connection. Again, ask your host. Also — are you using any security plugins that might block access? When Wordfence (for example) sees a suspicious connection, it blocks it with a 503 error.
I’ve sent a request to the hosting provider. I’ve also tried deactivating wordfence by the problem persists.

One of the problems seems to be Wordfence, as you said.
Disabling it at first solved the problem. Enabling it again means the problem reappeared. Disabling its Firewall did not work, but putting it in Learning Mode worked. Makes sense?

I’ve noticed that WordPress was automatically updated on 06/04.
In troubleshooting mode, one of the plugins gave some errors. Could a downgrade in WP be an option?
You could try it and see if it makes a difference.
So I managed to disable all plugins and the site worked perfectly.

If I check http://www.inewsmalta.com everything turns out ok, however if I check inewsmalta.com (without www) some 503 errors occur. Does that make sense?
Found the culprit. Its the Advanced Ads Tracking plugin. Any ideas how to fix this without actually deleting the plugin? Or a workaround?
