Co-Author Plus plugin creates multi-authors capability for a single post.

Also this plugin creates CPT ‘Guest Author’ in order to include some authors without even access to the blog.

As for me a combination of Co-Author Plus and CPT-onomy looks promising.

So, I registered CPT ‘Guest Author’ as CPT-onomy and found the corresponding meta menu in a single post edit screen (that was of a check list type in my case). However, all checks were colored in grey and no active (not responding to click).

Could (and how) this issue be resolved?

  • Check your settings. In the “Register this Custom Post Type as a CPT-onomy” section, there’s a setting for “Restrict User’s Capability to Assign Term Relationships”. That should take care of it.
