Installing Plugins in WordPress on a MAMP Install

    Hello WordPress Community,

    I have recently installed my WordPress installation with MAMP Pro.

    Everything seems fine except I can’t seem to be able to update and install WordPress plugins.

    I get the following error message:

    Connection Information

    To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access to your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

    It the asks me to input the following information:

    Hostname
    FTP Username
    FTP Password
    Connection Type

    Any help would be appreciated,
