• On my church’s wordpress themed website (I am the administrator of the site) a large DONATE button is supposed to be visible on the upper right-hand edge of the homepage. The button was there for a long time but for some reason it has reverted to a small square icon filled with a question mark. I have no idea what caused this to happen but I’d like to reactivate the button html code. I do not know html or understand the underlying CSS file structure of the website and have been unable to locate where this code should be. I am the creator of the website and the one who originally figured out how to insert the button code in its proper location but I remember it took me a very long time and I have forgotten how I did it. Can someone direct me to the proper file and file section where this code should appear? Thank you.

That image comes from https://www.electronicdonations.com/images/buttons/donate_green.png. That site is broken.

It looks like you put that in there by editing your theme’s header.php file.

Thank you Steve. I’ve used Chrome Developer Tools to inspect the button code and have replaced the broken code you pointed out with code for a DONATE button taken off the Internet. It works fine. Of course in Chrome DevTools I can’t save the replacement as edits there are temporary. So here’s my continuing problem, I can’t locate the index file that Chrome DevTools indicates the button code and third-party payment code resides in. I’ve looked through many many of the likely files from my website’s theme file editor and can’t locate this section of code. How can I find the index file I need?

It’s in an area called “resurrect-header-custom-content” so I suspect there’s some sort of theme option for it.
