installation without www.

I’ve just installed wordpress through cpanel and I’m trying to get it installed at mysite.com/wordpress and whenever I go to mysite.com/wordpress, it redirects me to http://www.mysite.com/wordpress. I don’t have http://www.mysite.com pointing to mysite.com. Any suggestions on fixing it so that it doesn’t require www.
