It could be necessary to reupload the files into that blog folder–but I’d double check wp-config.php first. If necessary, start with a pristine copy of wp-config-sample.php and work from there.

Re did the wp-config as suggested. I still get a blank screen with a “done”.
Will upload the files again after I clean out the directory.
Cleaned the directory of all files. Closed FTP program and restarted. Uploaded all files again. Still get a blank screen and no login/password return after pointing to wp-admin/install.php.

help
Nevermind. Figured it out. I’m retarded.
I had the same problem but I waited overnight and I could see the blog the next day after the databases online fully setup. My problem now is I get a blank screen when I try to log in or do anything administrative. It’s been almost 20 hours since I finished the upgrade so the servers should be done upgrading, right? My web service provider is of no help (go figure). Any help or suggestions of diagnosis is appreciated.

Is there an earlier version of this program somewhere. I want to see if that will run on my server.
I downloaded version 2.3.3 and installed it. No problem during the install and it appears to running okay. I will attempt to upgrade to the latest version over the next few days and will let you know.
