    Hi,

    im currently in pre-propogation and trying to install wordpress on a test server.

    the address is: http://xboxer360-com.jupiterpreprop.helmcontrolpanel.net/wp-admin/install.php

    now the problem is the install page is blank! but if i type in ANY wrong info on the config for db connection it tells me the error and the second I enter the right info the page is blank?

    running PHP 4.44 and MySQL 4 on a Windows Server ( full info here: http://xboxer360-com.jupiterpreprop.helmcontrolpanel.net/test.php)

    heres my config: (password hidden)

    <?php
    // ** MySQL settings ** //
    define('DB_NAME', 'shadow'); // The name of the database
    define('DB_USER', 'xboxer360');     // Your MySQL username
    define('DB_PASSWORD', '********'); // ...and password
    define('DB_HOST', 'localhost'); // 99% chance you won't need to change this value
    define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
    define('DB_COLLATE', '');

    // You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique prefix
    $table_prefix = 'wp_'; // Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!

    // Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the
    // chosen language must be installed to wp-content/languages.
    // For example, install de.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de'
    // to enable German language support.
    define ('WPLANG', '');

    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__).'/');
    require_once(ABSPATH.'wp-settings.php');
    ?>

  • I’d suggest changing your plan to a Linux based plan if your host offers one. WordPress ‘plays’ much better with Linux than with NT/IIS servers.
