You should be able to image optimize all of the site images in the uploads folder and set the total size down.

You can image optimize all uploaded images using a service like Imagify or ImageRecycle. You would just need to purchase 5GB of data, then it will run as a background process. Then you will end up with all of your uploaded site images being optimized.
