WP-PostViews
[resolved] Inconsistent with google analytics (7 posts)

On our site, http://www.mobielinformatie.com, the counter is inconsistent with google analytics. For instance, google would say we have had 44 visitors on a single day for a certain post, whereas postviews says 12 - even though I have enabled that all views (guests and registered and bots) are send through.

Maybe it has something to do with W3Total Cache plugin?

If you are using caching plugin then yes, the count will still be counted, but the display of the counter will be cache. You can check the actual count of the post by visiting the edit post page of that post.

I cleared the cache, but no difference. Also where do I find the count on the edit pages?

The information that's there isn't equal to the analytics either...

It will never be the same as GA, WP-PostViews will record more since every refresh will do a +1 to a counter and for GA, it is Javascript based, it sends the data to the server and I am not too sure it will count every page refresh as 1 page view.

Same problem here. And PostViews records less, than GA :(
