Incompatible with Stripe Apple Pay

Hi there,

I’m using Stripe for the Apple pay options on the product page, if I haven’t cached the page and try to make a purchase then everything works fine.

However, if the page has previously been cached then the ‘loader wheel’ will spin for a very long time before showing ‘invalid shipping address’.

If I add it to the cart first and then try the Apple pay option it does work, so, I guess it is problem with it adding to the cart?

Additionally sometimes on the first load after the page being cached if I click the ‘Apple Pay’ request it ‘flashes’ and then the button doesn’t work.

I have to refresh the page afterwards to get the ‘invalid shipping address’ to trigger

I know I have the option to exclude css, js, cookies and pages containing content.

Is there anything I might be able to add to resolve this?

have you ever tried another cache plugin before? if not, can you try one please? we need to be sure that your site works with the cache plugins.

Yes, my website works with caching plugins.

It is solely a problem with Stripe Apple Pay, all other payment methods work. I can see from the forum that a number of people have also had this problem?

We did use a similar setup before, same theme, same caching plugin and some luck with excluding ‘?wc-api=wc_stripe’ but doesn’t seem to be helping this time.

I wanted to mean that we need to be sure that the Stripe Apple Pay system works with the cache plugins or not.

Ah, apologies. I have installed WP Super Cache and seem to be having the same problem.

It seems that the problem is we’re caching the stripe nonce(?), which is causing it to break.

We can fix the problem by not caching the product page… But, this is of course not ideal :/

The problem is caused by wp nonce security system. You should set a cache timeout rule as below.

Thank you, yes, I have seen this, however, had a question if possible?

With Stripe it seems that as soon as it caches it creates a problem, so, I guess we need to avoid the nonce for Stripe caching at all?

The above solution seems like it wouldn’t fix that?

you cannot exclude a part of a page.

I understand, so, you’re saying that Fastest Cache isn’t compatible with Apple Pay on Product Page?

not only wp fastest cache but also all cache plugins.
