Hello,
In what way is the plugin incompatible with these ad networks? How have you come to this conclusion?
What you just reported does not include enough reasoning about why such a thing might be happening.
Please provide more details.
George
I cannot think of any logical connection between the plugin and your ads. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to your reply.
How have you actually tested this?
Advert div displayed fine before install of plugin.
When plugin is activated the advert div no longer displays.
As soon as plugin is deactivated then advert divs display once again.
Do you use a plugin to display these ads or have you added the code directly in the theme templates? If you use a plugin, there could be a conflict between the two plugins.
On the other hand, is there a possibility that you have overloaded your pages with metadata? Could you try disabling the metadata generators one by one in the plugin settings and see if the problem goes away?
Hello,
I would definitely expect more detailed feedback about this case.
As I see it, there are two possible reasons why enabling the plugin causes your advertisements div to not be displayed.
1) Technical issue. The plugin could conflict with the way your ads div is displayed. This is a very unlikely scenario, since all the plugin’s public functions are strictly prefixed and the plugin uses the official and documented WordPress API. Nevertheless, you still have to investigate if this is what is actually happening. If you require any help, please post more detailed feedback.
2) Misuse of the plugin, meaning that you use the plugin in a way that hurts your web site instead of helping it.
I’m afraid that your initial claim that the plugin is incompatible with the aforementioned ad networks is outrageously invalid, even as a very low probability scenario.
Add-Meta-Tags supports various types of metadata that can be generated for your posts. All these metadata generators are based on open standards that are not known to be in any way incompatible with ad networks.
What I’m trying to say is that the plugin’s features and the way the user uses those features are two entirely different things. If the features are misused, this does not render the plugin incompatible. It’s just the user doing it wrong.
A very usual mistake users make is to overload their posts with categories, tags, custom keywords and custom descriptions with very high density of keywords.
Please make sensible use of the plugin! I think this is the real problem here.
So, I’m marking this topic as resolved, because there is no status named invalid. Please feel free to re-open when you have solid proof for your initial claim.
Kind regards,
George
