Include a file in a post

    I’ve searched support and can’t finad an answer.

    I want to include a link to a file in a post (in this case specifically an excel file) so that when someone clicks on the link the application starts and the file opens.
    Can this be done and if so how?

    Link to the file just like you would anything else. Opening in a specific application happens on the users’ end.

    Also, triple posting is not acceptable on these forums, and is an extreme nuisance.

    My apologies for the triple posting, I haven’t quite got the hang of the forum as yet.

    I loaded my file to my blog and then created a link. However, when I click it I get a 404 so I think I’m doing something wrong here!

    Try taking the spaces out of the name of the file.

    Oh the shame!

    It helps if the file is in the correct directory on the server…….

    Ok, I’ll bite. I’m having the same problem and I can’t figure out what the correct folder is to put the file. If it matters, I’m trying to put up a link to a .mp3 file.
