I’m having a weird issue with imported events coming in with the wrong time. (Well, sort of. This is a really really strange issue!) Here is what is happening:

    1. My WordPress setting are all correct to my time zone.

    2. The events I am importing are local to my time zone.

    3. When I import an event, if I go to view the event, it shows the times as four hours too early.

    4. When I go into the editor to correct the times, they show up as the correct time in the editor already, NOT what it is showing on the published page.

Here is an example. I imported this event:

    https://www.facebook.com/events/674018956114186/

The event starts at 9:30 AM. But when I import and then view the page, it says 5:30 AM:

    http://manisteelove.com/event/communication-workshop/?instance_id=1118

Then when I go to edit the event, the start time in the editor already says 9:30 AM.

The only solution I have found is to import events, then open each one in the editor and hit save to make it show the correct time. My eventual plan is to upgrade so that I can fully automate this task, but I worry that without physically going in to edit the times after import, my calendar will be loaded with incorrect info.

    Please help!

Just FYI, I am updating the time on the example linked above to reflect the correct time – I don’t want to leave it published with the wrong time and it’s now been up almost 12 hours, so I can’t wait any longer! But it originally imported saying 5:30 AM rather than 9:30.

    Hello @gatifun,

It looks like you are using “XT Facebook Events”. so can you please create a new topic at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/xt-facebook-events or mail us at support@xylusinfo.com so we can manage it accordingly.

    Thanks,

I am having the same issue. I am GMT -7 time-zone (Edmonton).

I have a friend that is using the plug in and having the same issue. It offsets the time by 4 hours for any Eventbrite or Facebook imported event.

All the settings are correct for timezones in the main settings for WordPress.

I have to open the event, press “update”, and it will update the time of the event correctly.

It looks like you may have a time zone glitch in your coding.

    Website is http://www.yegfoodie.com

This event is supposed to start at 9am:
    http://yegfoodie.com/?ai1ec_event=brunch

All of the settings on the event page in the admin area are correct.
