    Hey there,

I screwed up a WP site and needed to transfer my pages, posts, pretty much everything onto another site. All I have is a backed up version of the WordPress site but no database or anything on the host server… So with that said is there a way to still import my content from the WP files into a new install?

    Thank you so much!

The previous site’s content (pages, posts etc) was stored in the database. So unless you have access to the old site’s database (or to a recent(ish) database backup), you’ve pretty much lost your content.

If there is no database backup might try search on Google for specific text in your posts and grab what you can from the cache.

Read WordPress Backups so that doesn’t happen again.

So the text and content or database for posts and pages is not stored within the wordpress folders?

you are correct. All the text is in the database
