As far as I know all my images were find yesterday…today broken links.
here is the address

Why is your blog looking for images here:
http://esc75.midphase.com/~thehouse/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
(and not found)There’s no such place as where the images reside. For example, one image is located here:
http://esc75.midphase.com/~thehouse/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
Try to visit that site, and it’s gone. Site can’t display something that’s not there. You need to put in the correct path to the images.
I may venture a guess though – is this “housesitter.com” a new domain name? And maybe it just resolved sometimes since yesterday? That would a big part of your problem.
The path names were correct yesterday.
All the images from the past 2 years are not broken links and I know for a fact when I load them they work.The-housesitter.com is not a new domain,,it has been mine for over 2 years…you can see on the blog I have been posting for ages.
I just don’t know who to ask about the image problem..is it word press casue those images are broken and the ones on the main site are not..or is it a problem with Midphase the host of the site.
Why is your blog looking for images here:
http://esc75.midphase.com/~thehouse/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
(and not found)Yes! exactly question being the images were working yesterday.
On your “main” site you have normal path:
http://the-housesitter.com/images/MissCreamEn.JPGOn your blog, the path is screwed up. What did your host say when you contacted them?
Next, the images are there:
http://the-housesitter.com/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
(when accessing them with the right URL)
now the one million dollars question is – WHY did they get changed in your blog’s content? Thanks Moshu… I was not and am still not sure where the problem is. I just sent midphase a note after finding out I am unable to get to the place where the images are stored.
Do you believe this my host problem and not a worpress problem?
Thanks
I don’t know from here. What you should definitely check:
the upload path in admin > Settings > Miscell
the two URL values in Settings > GeneralBut if they worked yesterday… who or what changed their URL in the post content (which is in the database)?
Moshu?
what? changed blogs content?
Well, I don’t understand how the whole thing happened. If you say that those starnge URL used to work but today they don’t – then definitely, the host changed something on server settings.
If you say that yesterday you uploaded the image here:
http://the-housesitter.com/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
and today the blog is looking for it here:
http://esc75.midphase.com/~thehouse/images/SEA/Thailand/Chang1.jpg
then YES, something has been changed in the database. Because an image inserted in a post is part of the content and thus stored in the database. So, first, please, figure out with your host what the heck did they do… and when asking questions here describe the situation exactly from the first post, don’t way for ten additional questions.
thanks,
I am waiting or info from the host.
I am sorry for not gving you more info in the 1st post..I had no idea what info to give you cause I didn’t know what the problem was.
Thanks!
