• I am trying to upload some images. At 1st they wouldn’t load because it said the images were too big. They were only 4MB. Then, they wouldn’t load…I get an error message that says “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” I don’t know where to look for my admin email inbox or how to trouble shoot this.

    TIA

The email is sent to the email address at Settings > General in your site’s Dashboard.

If the email did not arrive, or you aren’t sure which email address was saved there, try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
