Hi, I am having an issue with wp_is_mobile(). I have it set up so that it checks if the user is on mobile and then provides the appropriate image size. Sometimes it shows the correct image but other times it doesnt. I was curious if this issue had anything to do with W3 Total Cache or if it is unrelated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @meggranit

    Thank you for reaching out.
I am unable to replicate this, however, can you please temporarily disable the W3TC and let me know if the problem persists?
You mentioned that it shows the correct image but other times it doesn’t. Is this for the same page or different pages?

    How consistent is the issue?

    Thanks!

Hi, when I deactivate W3TC it seems to be getting the correct image

    Hello @meggranit

Can you please disable the settings one by one in Performance>general settings, save the settings and purge the cache after each setting is disabled and see which one might be causing the issue?

    Thanks!

Hi, I seem to be having this problem specifically when using a private browser. I use chrome and when opening the website with incognito browser it gets the mobile version of the image. Also on my mobile phone when opening safari in a private browser it seems to be getting the desktop image. Again, this problem does not occur when W3TC is disabled.

    Hello @meggranit

    Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve tried to replicate this and I always get the same result. I am seeing no problem using the incognito window. This is also the case with the mobile version.

Are you still experiencing the issue?

    Thanks!

    Hello @meggranit

Thank you for your feedback. In this case you should use User Agent Groups. Go to Performance>Cache Groups and activate user agent groups for mobile and see if the problem persists.

Follow the instructions on how to enable for your theme.

    Thanks!
