    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

Yes, that is no problem. Just use the “Insert image” button below the table input fields. With that, you can upload an image or embed an existing one from the WP Media Library.

Thanks for the fast response. Can the image be uploaded as part of an Excel spreadsheet? I ask because I have to create nearly 50 tables which total about 3000 images.

    Hi,

no, sorry, that is not possible. Images in Excel tables will not be recognized. The problem with those would be that they are not accessible from the web, i.e. they need a URL.

Now, this actually sounds like you want to create some sort of gallery. For that, TablePress (and tables in general) might not be the best solution. You might want to consider something like a “Custom Post Type” for your products, and then some customization in your theme to show those products in the desired format.

Tobias … thanks for the information and feedback.

Our client want’s to present their product information in a table which has filterable columns. The image issue was a concern I had as well with the Excel spreadsheet. At least we can import the majority of the table content from Excel and manually insert the image input the appropriate cell.

We are thinking of utilizing a sortable gallery for the project. An alternative method we thought about is setting the site up in an e-commerce format using Woocommerce and their filter plugin.

    Hi,

thanks for that explanation! Yes, using an e-commerce plugin might make more sense in the long run. Most likely, your client will want something like “single product details” pages soon, and those are not possible with TablePress.
The thing here basically is, that that tabular layout for the products is probably just one of many. The TablePress table should not be the “main” storage of the actual data.

    Regards,
    Tobias
