@architeqt – Did you change and path settings for the “Sketches” gallery, as in it was using a different path in the past than what the default gallery path is now?
Check under Gallery > Manage Galleries > Sketches … note the “Gallery path”; check this against Other Options > Image Options … “Where would you like galleries stored?”
If the “stored” path of the image options is not the same as the “Gallery path” (before the gallery name) try changing the “stored” path to match the Gallery path when trying to upload to that gallery.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply!
I checked the paths as you mentioned, and they match! So that isn’t the issue…
This morning, I tried something different, I uploaded some different images into the “Sketches” gallery – smaller ones, and they worked fine! So uploading to the “Sketches” gallery is working, I just can’t seem to upload the files I want. The files are between 100KB and 400KB. I thought perhaps they are too large? But the files I had previously uploaded to “Sketches” successfully are also that size.. so I am still confused as to why it’s not working anymore..
I just tried uploading one of the smaller sketches (119 KB), and it uploads to 100% but then gets stuck and doesn’t give me the “green checkmark”, so I have to reload the page, then I see it in the gallery, but it’s broken with no thumbnail.
And now, I’ve just taken a larger sketch which at 218 KB would not upload, resized it a bit to 120 KB, tried it again and it worked. Strange! Could there be something corrupt with these specific files?
Hopefully this is enough research to help you understand and identify what’s happening! Thanks so much for your help in advance,
Samer
@architeqt – It could be the files, or something to do with permissions on the server … but that is unlikely due to smaller images being able to be uploaded.
It might be worth submitting a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site’s specific so we can open a conversation where you will be able to share samples of the images you are working with.
We may need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with your Bug Report.
Thanks!

Hello,
I can not add anything to the gallery
@mavs – Perhaps you should start your own topic with the details of what you are seeing on your site as the forum rules recommend.

Thanks!

Thank you.
Forgiveness.
No English. Do the translation with google translator.
For me it is more difficult
thanks
@mavs – No worries … I have to use Google translator for most languages that are not English myself.
– Cais.
Thank you.
I like that I have a user who has posted above problem.
I installed the plugin NextGEN Gallery. I was able to create a gallery, but I can not add images. I do not see any errors. Only start uploading beside a yellow triangle appears and disappears after all.
I have cleaned browser cache. I have seen folders permissions gallery 755.
What can be happening?
Thanks, sorry for the inconvenience.
I found a mistake in making a gallery from a page. By just clicking in the editor to make the gallery appears, instead of the window to include the gallery, another window in which the page itself and the following error is displayed:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen () in / homepages/45/d527584633/htdocs/clickandbuilds/WordPress/MyCMS/wp-includes/admin-bar.php on line 486”
Theme zeeTasty
How I can fix?
Hi Cais,
Thank you, I have submitted a Bug Report for the issue.
Do you know how long it will take for me to hear back? Not being able to upload files to my gallery is really crippling my site…
Thanks!
Samer
Sorry for the inconvenience, I found the solution to my problem:
In Settings -> Permalinks -> I changed the default (default) by (Name Entry)
And I was unable to load the images WITHOUT ANY problem.
Thanks
@mavs – I’m glad it appears you have sorted out your issue.
@architeqt – We did receive your Bug Report and we can continue our conversation there for the time being.
Thanks!
– Cais.
A very wise person once told me that if something stopped working for an unknown reason – deactivate your last installed plug-in and see if it resolves the problem.
I installed WP Facebook Graph yesterday afternoon and when my NextGEN kicked out the above error message – I deactivated it and it solved the problem.
What I dont understand is why this plug-in should affect NextGEN. Any ideas?
@cherian123 – That was great advice you applied but it would still be best for you to create your own topic rather than resurrecting one that is over five months old.
Thanks!
– Cais.
