image loader doesnt work

you know…in the “ADD MEDIA” section, the grey square button that you press when you want to add an image to your post, well that doesnt work for me. when im posting an entry, this is what happens,

in the mists of posting, i click the img button to add an image, the box comes up, i choose where my pic is, when done, i hit “insert into post” and thats it…the box turns white, like it got stuck or something and then thats it. it just HANGS. nothing gets inserted into the post, nothing…

any ideas…thanks in advanced
