image has disappeared

Hi, Can anyone help me i have inserted images in my posts, and when I check the posts the images are not there, when checking the gallery i can see the url for the image, and the title of the image but when i look in the gallery section there is just an x where the image. I am new to wordpress and have no idea how to solve this as I am not a programmer. Any help would be apprciated. Thanks Dawn 🙂
