Unfortunately, Photo Gallery does not have the functionality to count the images of all albums and galleries.
However, you can check the number of images in each gallery under Images Count column on Add Galleries/Images page.

So, means there is now way, I’ve found a very crude way of doing this, for those who need to do this.
Show all the galleries in one page, highlight them all and copy.
Open excel and paste your contents, change the column sizes, you can then sum the mount column.
Sorry, it is the best I can find until they can add this simple request.
