Is there a way to turn off the IE settings like the way they force blue around links. I have my CSS set correctly but IE ignores things like text decoration. My site looks great everywhere but on IE. Please clue me in…

The “text-decoration: none;” does not work and my menu does not work in IE. I am confused. Why am I having so many problems with IE and wordpress. I have never had these problems developing other sites before using wordpress. What is the trick? What am I overlooking with wordpress?

Try adding
img
{ border-style: none;
}

to your style sheet.

Check out twentyeleven’s style.css, the very beginning starts out with a reset that takes care of issues like that. Helps you to get more predictable cross-browser results
