    Hi

I have the apparently very common ‘sidebar drop’. I removed something from the sidebar (I can’t remember what) and I found out weeks later that my blog looks horrible in IE. There were no problems before the ‘removing event’. Also the Word press interface itself is totally wrong in IE.

Is it possibe to add a page that says ‘please download and use FF’ whenever the site is opened in IE?

Could someone have a look, please?

  • This is really weird; but ok go to this site : http://www.mapleglobal.com/ . On FF a pop – up comes up asking for you to switch browsers to IE. With this you could somehow do the same but instead of switching to IE; switch to FF. You get what I’m saying?

This isn’t all that helpful but at least there is a way and someone did it before so… there is a chance.

I really don’t recommend it, but Explorer Destroyer offers a few options for “encouraging” people not to use IE.

Fixing your site would be a better option – nasty as it might be, IE is still used by an enormous number of people…

Edit: Just looked, and I see no sidebar drop with IE6 on my PC…

    Thanks for the tips.
I installed the mild explorer destroyer. The rest I somehow managed to fix.
