I need help

I really don’t know much about all of this stuff, but what I do know is that it isn’t working for me. That said, the real problem is that the guy that got me into this isn’t helping me. I like the format of everything but I can’t work on it the way it was explained to me. I am pretty sure that I need to load something on my computer, but I am having difficulties in doing that too. I can add/edit posts and pages, but nothing in the media area works, ie I can’t add pics to posts/pages. Also I think I need somebody else to work on my site and help me so that I can do it myself. I really feel stupid for this, but I have gone been far too long with this problem.
