Hyperlink problem with .com.au

    Hi,

    I’m having problem with url texts in posts.

    Whenever user posts content with a link for example thisissample.com.au the post makes the text into a hyperlink but just recognizes thisissample.com and does not include the .au

    This results in the output of the post to hyperlink to an incorrect url.

    Is there a way on how to resolve this so that the post will recognize the url and make it a hyperlink as a whole and does not exclude .au

    Fixing the url inside the posts is not an option since we want to rely on automation of hyperlinks.

    We just want the .au to be recognized.

    I can’t replicate that on a vanilla WP system using the classic editor

    I entered

       http://thisissample.com.au
   thisissample.com.au
   thisissample.com

    None rendered as links. When I used the link button on the toolbar, all rendered properly.
