Hyperlink Button Failed

    I installed 3.1.2 and the hyperlink button quit working in Visual mode. Typing alt-shift-a also does not work. The “link” button still works in HTML mode but target=”_blank” must be added manually each time if you want the link to open in a new page.

    Suggestions?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Found the offending plugin. It had worked correctly prior to the upgrade to 3.1.2. Will contact the plugin author.
