Human useable sitemap

I would like to create a site map with clickable links and categories, like the whit house website. I am not very good with code, and have not been able to find a plugin that will accomplish this in a satisfactory way. Looking for an easy fix.

I am trying to have a human useable site map in the footer, thanks for the code, although I am unsure how to use it? And any plugin I could fine just put all pages on bottom in one row with no real way to choose or make multiple rows or have categories. Thanks!
