    Hi,

I can’t find info on my web hosting server or the internet about the difference between HTTPS and Enforce HTTPS. Could someone help me understand this please?

    Thanks.

  • That screenshot looks like something from your hosting account and not from WordPress at all.

Even so, the “difference” between the two as you’ve asked is that HTTPS provides a secure layer for visitors to view your site through a https:// link, but allows visitors to also visit using a non-secure http:// link. Force HTTPS would force all visitors to use https:// and will redirect any non-secure requests to be secure.

Thanks! You are right; it is from the hosting account. Although that is the case, I have seen HTTPS notices from my WP dashboard, like from the Site Health plugin, etc… and was curious about the difference.
