https for the shortlinks

    Hi,

    I am forcing SSL on all the links on my domain and I was wondering if it is possible for the links created by this plugin. When I create them, it is http and not https. I was wondering if I can force an https on the created shortlinks also. I would appreciate any help on this.

    Also, does it mess up with the redirect if I manually add https:// to the shortlink when I add that in my content ?

    Hi @gynecoma,

    Is the URL in your Settings->General page also https? If not, change those to https if you’re using it across the whole site and it should return the https version when inserting links into content.

    We use the get_permalinks function that WordPress provides and WP actually handles the creation of the URLs via the custom post type so it’s not something we directly control.

    HTTPS is just a protocol so it shouldn’t mess anything up.
