HTTP Error – File Upload

    Hi All,

    I am seeing the words “HTTP Error” when attempting to upload files
    I’ve never seen this before, does anyone know what this means?

    Hi, thanks for the prompt response.

    This article is from 2008 – I wasn’t sure if this is out dated…

    Also I find it very strange as my other domains on the hosting seem to work, it’s only this domain, also I haven’t had to do this before and I have created 6 websites with WordPress so I find it very strange

    Can anyone enlighten me?

    No – it is still valid. The most common cause is a mod_security issue.

    This seems to be happening a lot more frequently lately. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the most recent Apache patch?

    Are you using Apache? If so, what version are you on?

    I’m not sure if the patch has anything to do with it, but it seems like a lot of users are having this issue lately and like esmi posted, a lot of times it’s a mod_security or similar issue.
