• Hi

I am new to WordPress, new to the forum (so apologies if I have put this in the wrong place) and am looking to use WordPress to set up a website for the school I work at.

At the moment I just want to test wordpress so am not connecting it to a registered domain yet – just my local PC.

I used the install guide and went down the 5 minute install guide which loaded Web Platform Installer route to install on a test machine, an XP pro running SP3

Seemed to download and install everything OK, Web platform starts, a browser opens and I get an error – http500.0, Internal Server error.

Seems to be something to do with a fastCGI module, executerequest handler is PHP53_via_fast_cgi and the error code is 0x80070003.

The URL its trying to call is where the website has been created, and its trying to call index.php.

I am using the administrator account on the computer.

Please can anyone tell me how to fix the installation so it doesnt crash out with the http500 error so that I can then configure my site. I am running IE by the way.

Many thanks in advance for any help
