You should add these to the list of ping services pinged by WordPress when you make a post. You can find this list in Options>Writing in the admin panel. I believe that these are all pinged by Pingomatic already, though, so I don’t think that it’s necessary to add these.

Not all those in your list are hit by pingomatic, here is there page you can cross reference.
    http://pingomatic.com/

Keep in mind the more services you ping the slower your posting will be. On top of that time any extra time spent pinging sites within a post entry. (if pings are turned on)

How would you add these ping sources to the options > writing at the bottom where it has a box to Update Services?

Right now this is in the box:

    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

So how do I put this in:

    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/, http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

    or

    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

It says right above the text field of Update Services: “Separate multiple service URIs with line breaks.”

    Line breaks are new lines.

    thanks

I have read that pingomatic does not reliably ping all of the services they list from an automatic ping. But that you have to go there and do it manually. Would it be better to ping those services directly if you aren’t concerned with the time it takes for an entry to be posted?

    Thanks,

If you have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ listed in your Update Services, then you are automatically pinging all of the services listed on pingomatic’s front page.

Pingomatic does hit most of those … when it’s working ….

Please do not ping Blogbot.dk unless you are already a registered user. Other users are blocked. In order to register as user, the blog must be written in Danish and meet certain other criteria.

Currently I block several hits to the XML-RPC service per second. This is consuming quite a lot of resources on the Blogbot.dk server.
