How to make theme framework updatable?

    I decided to build my own framework (instead of choosing the parent theme route), so now I’m building themes with the framework inside the theme’s file.

    How do I make the framework check for updates and give the user the ability to update it without having to download/upload the updated version? I know the WooThemes Framework does it.
