    You need to learn html/css for that. If you plan to edit wordpress files, you will need to learn wordpress file composition as well.

    I also have a basic question. I want to edit my theme, but I don’t know where or how to edit it.

    Let me be more specific. I can figure out the HTML language part, but how do I upload the new code to the blog? Right now I am using a template, and am having trouble with the editing process.

    From your dashboard, look on the left side panel and choose appearance> editor. Once there, look to the right of your screen and choose which part of the site you’d like to edit (posts, stylesheet, etc). This is where you can do little things like changing the background of your site or bigger things like modifying functionality.

    I think this is what you were asking for.
